Three Youths Electrocuted After Motorcycle Comes into Contact with Live 11 kV Power Line in Rajasthan's Karauli
Three young men lost their lives after their motorcycle came into contact with a live 11 kV power line lying on a road near Bhopar village in Rajasthan's Karauli district. The motorcycle caught fire due to the electric current, killing all three victims on the spot. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination before handing them over to their families.
According to police, the three men were riding through the area when they encountered a snapped high-tension electricity line lying across the road. Unaware that the wire was still carrying live electric current, they came into contact with it, resulting in a devastating accident.
Todabhim Deputy Superintendent of Police Murari Lal Meena said the motorcycle also caught fire after coming into contact with the live power line. The intense electric current caused all three youths to die on the spot before any rescue could be carried out.
The deceased have been identified as Ram Babu, Vishnu, and Chaube Jatav, all residents of Aakhada village.
Police officials stated that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Following the completion of the legal formalities, the bodies will be handed over to their respective family members.
The incident has highlighted the deadly danger posed by snapped high-voltage power lines, as a routine journey ended in a fatal tragedy that claimed three lives within moments.
